Car AC that blows warm is most often low on refrigerant because of a leak, has a condenser or cooling fan problem that shows up in traffic, or has a failed compressor clutch or compressor. Blend-door and climate-control faults are common on European cars. The fix depends on the cause, so the system is tested before it is recharged.

Why "regassing" is not a repair
Refrigerant does not get used up. If the system needs gas, it has a leak. Recharging without finding it means the money leaks out again over the following weeks. A proper repair uses a leak test, replaces the leaking component, evacuates the system and charges it by weight to the vehicle's specification.

AC in Jamaica runs at full load almost every day. Condensers at the front of the car take stone damage; fans and compressors run hot. Keeping the condenser clean and the cabin filter fresh reduces the load on everything else.

Most cars before about 2017 use R-134a; many newer European cars use R-1234yf. The label under the bonnet says which. They are not interchangeable.
